Glenn Delaney’s Mitsubishi Sagamihara Dynaboars announced their outgoing players after concluding their season with an away defeat to Urayasu D-Rocks at Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium in Tokyo on Friday.
The Dynaboars finished a respectable ninth-place, one above Steve Hansen and Ian Foster’s star-laden Toyota Verblitz and once again with a comfortable gap from the relegation zone.
Delaney’s team are not blessed with the marquee international and Japanese names that the teams around them boast and continue to defy expectations.
However, their one high-profile acquisition Kurt-Lee Arendse did play a starring role this season.
The 28-year-old World Cup winner scored seven tries in 12 appearances despite missing the closing rounds of the season due to a shoulder injury.
Former Scarlets head coach Delaney’s squad will undergo a major overhaul this summer with 20 players set to depart.
Kurt-Lee Arendse’s one-season sabbatical has ended, and despite interest on both sides in him returning next season, the South African star will return to URC outfit the Bulls.

Former Australia international and ex-NRL star Curtis Rona, 32, who has been limited to just seven appearances this term, will also be among those departing.
More to follow.
