League One play-off contenders Suntory Sungoliath will be without star duo Cheslin Kolbe and Sam Cane for close to the remainder of the season. 


Rich Freeman reported that Kolbe and Cane, who didn’t feature in Saturday’s 62-0 rout of the Black Rams, have reportedly been sidelined for 4-6 weeks (hand) and 10 weeks (back) respectively.

World Rugby unveiled the new-look, six-team Pacific Nations Cup which will culminate in Japan this year (World Rugby)


Sunday’s division two fixture between Kamaishi Seawaves and NEC Green Rockets had to be cancelled due to heavy snow.


Despite a huge effort by local volunteers from 5am on matchday to clear the snow the pitch was deemed unplayable. 


League One announced that the game has been rescheduled for Sunday 17 March at Kamaishi Unosumai Memorial Stadium in Iwate (League One)

The controversial Meiji Jingu Gaien area redevelopment in Tokyo is underway. The existing baseball and rugby stadium's will be knocked down and the sport's will switch locations for their new stadia. The new multi-purpose Chichibu will have a capacity of 15,000 for rugby which is smaller than it has now (Twitter)
